REUNION 2012

It’s my Reunion- How can I help?

1. Join the Reunion Committee (Get classmates back to campus for Reunion):

The goal of Reunion at HWS is to reconnect alumni and alumnae to the Colleges, as well as reconnect alumni and alumnae with each other. The Reunion Committee plays a very important role in making this happen. Specifically, the responsibilities of the committee include:

  • Attending Reunion Weekend 2012, June 1-3.
  • Personally inviting classmates to campus and pass on the details of Reunion Weekend.
  • Confirm or correct contact information to make sure the Colleges can send your classmates Reunion information. It would be particularly helpful to secure the e-mail addresses of your classmates.

2. Join the Reunion Gift Committee (Help raise funds for the classes Reunion gift)

Join the Reunion Gift Committee to get involved. Help raise gifts in honor of your Reunion by participating on the classes fundraising committee. This committee will be comprised of leaders from the class who agree to pledge their own support and solicit gifts from their classmates. Specifically, the responsibilities of the committee include:

  • Attending Reunion Weekend 2012, June 1-3.
  • Making a special gift to The Annual Fund in honor of your Reunion. Leadership by example is a crucial component of a successful Reunion Gift Committee. (We ask that gift committee members make a pledge by December 31, 2011.)
  • Participating in conference calls throughout the months leading up to Reunion Weekend 2012. Maintaining ongoing communication with staff members from Alumni House to review class progress and refine and personalize communications designed to encourage ongoing philanthropic support of the Colleges.
  • Contacting selected classmates to ask for support of the Classes gift.

3. Be a non-committee advocate (Doing your part without joining any formal committee)

Let your classmates know you are planning to attend by adding your name to the list of attendees, confirm your attendance the 2011 Reunion Facebook event, and comment on the "wall" of your classes Facebook page. Reach out to classmates and encourage them to mark their calendar for Reunion Weekend. And don't forget to make a gift to the Colleges in honor of your milestone Reunion; be sure to remind your classmates, teammates, and roommates to do the same.
