SUMMARY:
Provide secretarial assistance to the William Smith Deans. This position requires the individual to serve as one of the initial contact persons for the office, receiving telephone calls, scheduling appointments, and helping with student, staff, faculty, and parent communication for the William Smith Dean’s Office.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma, associate’s degree preferred, plus one to three years of secretarial experience. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized individual able to work in a high-pressure environment. In addition, the candidate needs good written and oral communication skills as well as a strong customer service orientation. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook.
OTHER INFORMATION:
This is a full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible position within the Collective Bargaining Unit. The position is a Grade 15 with a starting rate of pay of $12.12 per hour. Normal hours of work are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the academic year and a possible shortened workweek during the scheduled summer hours time period. May be required to work additional hours in the evening and on weekends. This position description is not all-inclusive, as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned.
