DROP/ADD

FALL '08: Sept 1 - 5, 2008
SPRING '09: Jan 19 - 23, 2009

Students are allowed five (5) class days to drop and add a course. If a student is approved by the instructor to be added into an existing CLOSED course, the statement "add as overload" must be written on the drop/add form and signed by the instructor.

Students are encouraged to discuss changes with their adviser. Signature is needed only if course is closed and instructor is approving add as overload or if course is a "permission only" course.

Incomplete (I) Grades are temporary grades given when the instructor observes conditions beyond the control of the student such that the student is unable to complete course requirements in the given term. Must be changed no later than the sixth week of the following term (second week of fall semester for spring semester incompletes) if not, the grade turns to an (F) Failure. See instructor of course.

All third year students (juniors) must complete and file prior to spring registration.

Repeating courses
Repeating courses in which a D or F grade was given may be helpful in raising GPA. If a course is repeated, the second or latest grade will be calculated in the GPA. All grades are recorded on the Official Transcript. Courses repeated at other institutions are not included in the GPA.
